Kathie Cox

"First Show 2009"

A native Texan, Kathie is a sculptor and photographer of wildlife and nature. She attended the University of Texas and North Texas State University graduating in 1970. After three years as a teacher in Dallas, she resigned to be a stay-at-home mom and developed her skills as a photographer. Kathie's photographs have been exhibited in several group shows in the Southwest. In 1992 Kathie began studying pottery and sculpting at Southern Methodist University. Two years later she and her husband moved to New York City where she continued her studies at the 92nd Street Y. She also studied with artist Judith Weller at the New York Sculpture Center.
